Waimate walk with the middle school.

We went on a walk around Waimate. We were looking out for organisations and old buildings.
It was tiring. When we were at Seddon Square we had lunch and most of us played tag. On the way back we were all moaning but we all had fun.

The walk around Waimate

On Thursday 7th May Ruma Kea, Weka and Kakapo went on a walk around Waimate to look for organisations. We all had fun but in the end we were very tired. After we'd stayed at Seddon Square so we could have lunch, we were off to the Norman Kirk Swimming Pool. After that we went to look at the fire station, the high school and then we went past the kindergarten and church. On the way back to school we got really thirsty so we were grateful when we got back to school.

Waimate walk 1

The senior classes went for a walk around Waimate (to find out about Waimate). We learnt that the town pool was named after a prime minister of New Zealand. He was born in Waimate
and his name was Norman Kirk. We had to be with partners and had a board, a pencil and a rubber with us. We had lunch at Seddon Square and it was a lot of fun. We thanked the parents and then went home.

Ruma Kea's Walk

The Year 4, 5 and 6 children walked around Waimate to see what services and organisations there are in Waimate. We went past the fire station and the police station as well. The parents were a big help and so were the teachers. We had lunch at Seddon Square.

Waimate

On Thursday 7 May Ruma Kea, Ruma Kakapo and Ruma Weka went for a walk around Waimate. We found out that the Norman Kirk swimming pool was named after the prime-minister. We went all over the place and had our lunch at Sedden Square. Once we had eaten our lunch we were allowed to have a play which was fun. We had lots of parent helpers that helped us put the numbers in the right places on our map.

The walk around Waimate

On Thursday the seniors went for a walk around Waimate. We had lunch at Seddon Square. We all stopped at places and wrote the names of the places on a piece of paper. We then marked on a map where they were. We all think that it was a big walk around Waimate and that we all liked the walk. We had a really hard time writing all of the words on the piece of paper.

Walking around Waimate

On Thursday the senior school went for a walk around Waimate. We all had a clip board, a map and a clear piece of paper. On the piece of paper we wrote down places we saw beside a number, and then wrote the number on the map. We walked to Seddon Square, ate our lunch and had a little play. Then we headed off again and went past the Norman Kirk Swimming Pool. We also walked past the the fire station. When arrived back at school our legs were sore. Everyone thought it was home time but it wasn't. We had a great walk.

Waimate walk

On Thursday the 7th of May Ruma Kea,Weka and Kakapo went for a walk around Waimate.
First we had a walk and then we had lunch at Seddon Square. After lunch we walked past the fire station. Past the fire station we walked to the kindergarten. While we were at the fence all the little kids ran up and said hello. We walked down High Street after that, went past the police station and walked to an old museum. On the other side of the road to the museun was the Regent Theatre where you see movies. After that we walked all the way back to school. We all thought it was a long walk.
