Civil Defence

On Wednesday 23rd May Karen Buchannan told us about Civil Defence. We used a generator to boil water in a jug. It was loud! With the water we boiled, Rebekah, Danny and Michaela made a cup of tea for Karen and Mrs Albrey. We did a work sheet about what we need in an emergency. Karen showed us that the radio torches run on solar power. In the boxes Karen brought, there were things like food, water and other things you will need in an emergency. At the end Karen gave us each a bag with a sheet and a book to fill in. The class now knows what Civil Defence is and what they do in an emergency. By Holly and Hannah
