Karen Buchannan from Civil Defence came to Waimate Centennial School to talk to us about how you can survive in a disaster like an earthquake, a flood or something worse. Then she told us that if you wanted to take a pet with you if you were evacuated, you would need to bring some food for the pet that could last for at least four days. For a person you’d need food to last for about three days or more. We really enjoyed having Karen here. By Thomas and Remo
