Artarama Session 1 Report

Session 1 Tuesday 28th May
First Mrs Murray showed us a photo of a huge chandelier made out of thousands of clear plastic bottles which had been recycled.   We talked about why creating and viewing art is important.  One of the thoughts we wrote down was that looking at art inspires us and gives us ideas.

Then Mrs Murray told us what we were doing today. Each group of people then grabbed bottles and washed them so that all the coke was out of them. They all started to cut the bottoms off the plastic bottles to make flowers.

After that Mrs Murray showed us another thing to do with the tops of the bottles.   By cutting long narrow triangles into the top of the bottles we made a different flower shape.

It was then time to pack up and put the bottles away for next time.
