The concert

When we first arrived at the theatre we got in our costumes and had to wait to walk on the stage. All the seats were filled up and we were nervous in front of all those people. They were laughing at us when we did the funny parts and when we mucked up. It was a great experience for the people who have not ever been to our concert.

Athletics Day

On Tuesday the 9th of November it was a very special day. Why? Because it was Waimate Centennial School’s athletics day. The events that the children participated in were sprints, high jump, shot put, long jump, discus and distance run. The children were put into age groups from 4 – 11 years old according to their age on the first of January. Everybody tried their best.
Be prepared for next athletics day!

Mustang

I can smell disgusting smoke
Tiny oil leaks from the Mustang
When they land they go all over the place
The engine rattles like it is in a race.

Monster Trucks

Monster trucks go roar as they smash over cars
They’re reeving as they are in the air
They squash cars and they crush cars
Monster trucks are humongous
They make a really loud noise.

MOTORBIKE

Broom broom broom down the street,
The wheels spin like a washing machine
I clang when I drive because I am old and need to get to my home.

Down Behind the Dustbin

Down behind the dustbin
I met a dog called Fred
He was old and thin
And ate some white bread.
